EEVEELUTION BATTLE ROYALE!

(Tn by Me! (Mysterious_Firefly))

Before we get started…

Since pokemon battles can vary WILDLY due to a multitude of factors (Moves, Natures, Affection, Time of day, ETC.) we will be restricting some of those so that we can make a clear conclusion within this decade.
1. Nothing that requires a trainer to get. So no TM or TR moves, No hidden abilitys, No Z-moves, no Egg moves, no Held Items, ETC.
2. All IV’s will be at their Max and All EV’s will be set to zero.
3. Since there is a four way tie in speed for the 4th-7th place any one of them moving before the other is randomized and will be treated as a coin flip.
4. The Pokemon’s starting positions will be in a circle in Turn Order going Clockwise (Everyone on the Blog voted for this)
5. Finally this will take place in Gen 9 (Scarlet/Violet) as it is the most recent region at this blogs current date
6. All pokemon will be at Level 100

And just to make sure everyone is on the same page

If an accuracy is not stated along side a move that means its base accuracy is 100%

A stat stage is basically a multiplier for a pokemon stats. It goes up to 6 stages and the max multiplier is 4x (Each stage adds 1.5x so 1 stage = 1.5x, 2 stages = 2x, ETC. this also means that a lower stage would be divided by rather then multipled by)

Physical moves use the Attack stat while Special moves use the Special attack stat.

While Crits CAN happen they only have a ~4% chance to happen so unless the mon has a move that increases its chance to crit they will basically be ignored due to how rare they are. Although it is important to not that they ignore enemies defense boosts and most of the critters debuffs.

Spread moves mean that instead of attacking just one target they attack all available targets. (Meaning in this BR they hit everyone.)

Now with that out of the way lets get onto…

The Basic Eevee Moveset!

Since all of the combatants here are Evolutions of eevee they also have all the moves an eevee would have. That means that all of the combatants here today have

Tail whip: Lowers the enemies defense by 1 stage

Tackle: 40 base power Physical normal move. (Not much to say here)

Helping hand: Increases an allies attack (How useful in a BR where everyone is against eachother!) Most notable trait is the +5 Priority meaning that unless another equal or greater Priority move is used this will always move first.

Growl: Lowers the enemies attack by 1 stage

Covet: 60 base power physical attack normal type move. Also steal the enemies item if they have one.

Sand attack: Lowers the Enemies accuracy stat by 1 stage

Quick attack: 40 base power Physical Normal type move. Has +1 Priority.

Baby-doll eyes: Lowers the Enemies attack stat by 1 stage. Also has +1 Priority.

Swift: 60 Base power Special Normal Type move. Will never miss regardless of Accuracy or Evasion.

Bite: 60 Base power Physical Dark Type move. Has a 30% chance to move the Enemy hit flinch (meaning they do not make a move this turn).

Copycat: Copies the enemies last used move. Fails if no move has been used yet.

Baton pass: Switches out to another ally giving them all stats boosts and buffs they got. (Another really useful move thats basically pointless here. Damn.)

Take down: 90 Base power Physical Normal type move. Unlike most moves which have a base 100 accuracy (meaning without Accuracy/Evasion buffs/debuffs 100% accurate.) this has a base 85 accuracy. Meaning it has a 15% of missing outright (and with how pokemon mechanics work might as well be a 50/50). Also takes 1/4 of the damage dealt as recoil damage.

Charm: Lowers the Enemy's attack stat by 2 stages.

Double-edge: 120 Base Power Physical Normal type move. Also takes recoil damage but this time its 1/3 of damage dealt rather then 1/4.

Last resort: 140 Base Power Physical Normal type move. Fails if the user has not used all of their other moves at least once.

Now with the base eevee moveset out of the way lets get into our actual combatants unique movesets!

Sunny Day: Makes the weather sunny. In sunny weather fire type damage is increases by 50% while water type damage is decreased by 50%, prevents freezing, and lowers the accuracy of thunder and hurricane to 50%.

Leech Seed: Shoots a seed at the enemy that slowly drains them (meaning that every turn the enemy would lose 1/8 their max HP and then that HP would be given to Leafeon)

Magical Leaf: 60 base power special grass move. Always hits regardless of Accuracy and Evasion.

Synthesis: Yet again a Morning Sun/Moonlight copy. This time its grass type.

Giga drain: 75 base power special grass move. 50% of damage dealt with be returned to Leafeon as health.

Blizzard: 110 base damage ice special move with 70% accuracy. It will always hit if it is snowing however. Spread move. 10% chance to freeze.

THE DEBATE

For this part we’re gonna do every eeveelution in a 1 on 1 just to see how well they can fair on their own.

Jolteon vs Vaporeon: Jolteon Hitting a thunder means that basically any move would finish Vaporeon off. Discharge also deals a good amount of damage to Vaporeon (96% to 2HKO) while also doing damage to every other mon. Also like Hydro Pump cannot OHKO so Vaporeon cannot do much to win againest Jolteon unless they get REALLY lucky.

Jolteon vs Flareon: Jolteon needs to land 3 (or 2 at 10%) thunders in a row to KO while flareon only needs to 2 fire fang for a 90% chance to KO. Keep in mind this is without the sun which increases fire moves attack by 1.5x and lowers thunder accuracy to a coin flip.

Jolteon vs Espeon: Yet again 2 thunders 2HKO’s but a future sight into a psychic also “2”HKO’s no matter what. If jolteon misses his first thunder then he gets ko’d with future sight -> psychic -> morning sun. But if he does hit it he still has to hit it again before espeon heals and uses psychic. Sun makes this a Espeon win but generally i think this goes into “Coin Flip”

Jolteon vs Umbreon: Double Kick is, in practice, a 3HKO (its counted as a 5-6HKO although) for Jolteon. Umbreon on the other hand has Assurance which 2HKO’s, moonlight to heal, screech for Assurance to deal even more damage, and Confuse ray to help but him time. Pretty solid Umbreon win

Jolteon vs Leafeon: Leaf Blade (even without buffs and crits) 2HKO’s basically no matter what while jolteon can’t 2HKO leafeon at all (even if all 5 pin missle attacks hit)

Jolteon vs Glaceon: Double kick has a 99% chance of 2HKO (essentially OHKO’ing due how double kick works) so… pretty fair Jolteon win i’d say.

Jolteon vs Sylveon: light screen deadass makes it so that Jolteon can barely do any damage to Sylveon at all (0.4% chance to 4HKO with Thunder fang💀) and draining kiss just… heals whatever damage he does so uh… pretty fair Sylveon win.

Espeon vs Umbreon: Umbreon is deadass immune to nearly every move Espeon has so uh yeah pretty easy Umbreon win here 💀

Espeon vs Vaporeon: Both can 3HKO but Espeon is faster (Although if Vaporeon gets one of their Status’s off like confusion it would be a Vaporeon win) So Coinflip but leaning espeon

Espeon vs Flareon: Espeons best chance is a 3HKO while Flareon has a 2HKO with Bite (40% chance to OHKO with flare blitz) so Flareon win

Espeon vs Leafeon: Swords dance allows for leaf blade to OHKO no matter what while Espeon cannot OHKO making this a fairly solid leafeon win.

Espeon vs Glacion: Psychic has a 70% chance to 2HKO but Mirror coat makes it so that if Espeon uses that move it would reflect and almost always OHKO (Ice shard would KO espeon immediately after no matter what since priority.) Glaceon win with high difficulty.

Espeon vs Slyveon: Moonblast 3HKO’s and Lightscreen means that even future sight would need 5-6 hits to KO. Without to any healing or Debuffs landing on them of course. Slyveon win

Leafeon vs Flareon. Double-edge doesn’t do enough damage to OHKO but its recoil would make Lava plume OHKO it no matter what. (Leaf blade does jack here even with crits). Flareon win

Leafeon vs Vaporeon: Vaporeons lack of a OHKO option, Getting outspeed and twoshotted with leaf blade WITHOUT a crit (OHKO with) means this is a fairly solid leafeon win.

Leafeon vs Umbreon: both can do barely any damage to eachother But leafeon has more consistent healing options and can even damage with them. Also Swords dance means that leaf blade could 2HKO without crits.

Leafeon vs Galceon: Freeze dry has a really REALLY good chance (like 94%) of just ohko’ing leafeon out the gate and leaf blade can only 2HKO with a swords dance so i think its fair to call this a Glaceon win.

Leafeon vs Sylveon: While Charm could shutdown Swords dance due to being slower Leafblade would still 2HKO (Without crits) Sylveon while Sylveon can’t OHKO Leafeon in anyway. Leafeon win.

Flareon vs Vaporeon: Pretty simple. Hydro pump has a 25% to OHKO while Flareon can barely just 3HKO with Flare blitz. Vaporeon win.

Flareon vs Umbreon: Surprisingly really close. Assurance could be a 2HKO if Flareon always goes before and won’t die from 2 Flare Blitzes if the sun isn’t up. But IF the sun is up (and given how the most eeveelutions want the sun up, chances are the sun is going to be set up.) then flare blitz 2HKO’s no matter what and Fire Fang can all for Flareon to only need to use it once reducing recoil damage dealt. Further more, if Umbreon gets burnt then his chances dwindle DRAMATICALLY due to not hitting nearly as hard anymore as well as slowly taking chip damage allowing for Flareon to KO him quicker.  Coin Flip in Flareons favor.

Flareon vs Glaceon: Really easy Flareon win. Blizzard can Only 4HKO while Flare Blitz can OHKO it even at full health. And in the Sun (or if it takes any significant damage) even Fire Fang can KO it near instantly.

Flareon vs Slyveon: again, REALLY close. Mostly due to Skill Swap. If the sun isn’t up then Skill Swap could allow for Sylveon to become IMMUNE to fire type moves making a good majority of Flareons most powerful moves useless. And charm could allow for Sylveon to tank the rest of Flareons moves with relative ease… if flare blitz didn’t do nearly 3/4ths of their entire health even without sun or burn (OHKO’ing no matter what in sun). And sadly at that health even a Covet would KO Sylveon while they just don’t have the fire power to do anything back fast enough. Making this a Flareon Win.

Vaporeon vs Umbreon: Another Close one. Vaporeon starts out hitting harder with hydro pump but Moonlight, Snarl, and assurence allows umbreon to have a better chance to win the longer the fight goes on. Coin flip in Umbreons favor. Umbreon win in sun.

Vaporeon vs Glaceon: Another really close one. Both can two shot the other (with hydro pump and freeze-dry respectively) and both share the exact same speed stat making this a legit coinflip. However due to Hydro pumps 80 accuracy, freeze-dry is more consistent overall. And again, Glaceon win in sun.

Vaporeon vs Slyveon: Damn vaporeon is having a ROUGH time. Light screen, Draining kiss, moonblast, and skill swap make Vaporeon unable to do any realible damage to Sylveon before getting eventually trampled by all of sylveons snow-balling options even without sun. Sylveon win.

Umbreon vs Glaceon: Stall battle!!! But Snowscape being the only other weather effect that can happen, along with blizzard hitting like a truck regardless of weather, ice fang giving Glaceon an option that ignores snarls SP.A downs, means this is a coin flip in Glaceons favor.

Umbreon vs Sylveon: Draining kiss and Charm just means that umbreon cannot do meaningful damage. Sylveon win.

Glaceon vs Sylveon: Man this is lame way to end it off… Light screen, draining kiss, and moon blast 2HKO’ing makes Glaceon unable to reliably do anything boo womp.

Now time to actually focus on the BR. For starters, Weather is probably the most important factor and with Sun being by far the most wanted (Espeon, Leafeon, Umbreon, and flareon all want it up near constantly) and with its only competition being snow from Glaceon (which only Glaceon really benefits from) means that the sun is more often then not going to be the weather that is up for most of the match. Now while nearly everyone benefits from the sun they do not benefit equally. Nearly everyone gets better healing options, but only flareon and leafeon get better offensive options. Another really important detail is that nearly every pokemon here is special focused with only real exceptions being flareon and leafeon (again), meaning that moves that help counter special attackers are going to be inherently both more common and more GENERALLY useful. However, this does not mean that the physical attackers are inherently weaker, if anything it means that their physical attack is a LOT more valuable here then just about anything else due to 1. Most eevees don’t have very good physical defense 2. Anti-Physical moves are going to be a lot rarer then Anti-Special moves. Of course this doesn’t mean that Anti-Physical moves won’t be a part of the MU or that Anti-Special moves are less valuable because of it. Third, Jolteons discharge is probably the most important move in the entire battle, any eeveelution that can’t resist or fairly tank one (which are most luckily) are going to be at a HUGE health disadvantage at the start (to the point where they might not even get a turn). So TL;DR: Sun is most likely to be up, Physical moves and defenses are rarer then Special moves and defenses making Physical moves more valuable overall, and Jolteon’s discharge kind of just dooms vaporeon right out of the gate.

8. Vaporeon
Poor, poor vaporeon. Sadly with sun being by far the most likely weather (and having no way to get rid of it), Jolteons discharge taking a massive chunk of its health nearly immeditely, and not having a good enough speeed stat to outspeed any of the big heavy hitters, Vaporeon is doomed to dead last.

7. Espeon
Just barely beating out vaporeon, espeon actually benefitting from the sun and being able to outspeed most other eevees actually means it has a chance to get a turn out! But soon after this, its lack of doing anything notable really hurts it. It actually has worse matchups against eeveelution than vaporeon! Being unable to deal meaningful damage to half of them, and the other half either don’t matter much in the BR or can deal with espeon far better then espeon can deal with them.

6. Glaceon
In 6th we have glaceon! Being able to tank hits from most of the other heavy hitters (excluding flareon) and being the only eevee in the entire BR with a counter to the sun (snow), means that it can actually fairly outpace espeon and vaporeon! But soon after that it crumbles… mostly due to ice being a terrible defensive type on a mon thats designed to be more defensive than the most. But its 130 Sp.Attack helps it a lot in the category!

5. Umbreon
And rounding out the bottom of this list its Umbreon! Who barely got kicked out of 4th by Jolteon… literally. Double-kick was the deciding factor in Jolteon vs Umbreon and just… in general. Both could legit sweep nearly everyone if given the chance… the only problem is that Umbreon had a harder time dealing with those higher on this list then them dealing with Umbreon.

4. Jolteon
And at the halfway point with Jolteon! His speed and discharge helped him a LOT in the BR, allowing him to deal decent damage to everyone! But with how frail he his, and the fact discharge would also make him the most wanted eeveelution in the BR means that while he could make a big splash he wouldn’t be able to keep this momentum up for the higher pokemon on this list.

3. Sylveon
And to everyone surprise, Sylveon did NOT get 1st place! Although it should be noted that it did put up a really good fight and has a decent chance to win overall! But those higher on the list simply just took advantage of Sylveon’s special focus and benefited from the sun a LOT more. (This doesn’t mean Sylveon can’t win, they very much can, and have a decent chance too! Its just that 2nd and 1st have higher chances overall.)

2. Leafeon
Barely missing out on the win, Leafeon reaches second place. Being able to set up the sun, heal consistently, and set up swords dance + leaf blade to sweep nearly everyone (along with being faster then nearly everyone)  means that leafeon has a VERY high chance of winning! But #1 just beat them out by a hair…

1. Flareon
And our (overall) winner is… FLAREON! Being able to take advantage of the sun to its fullest, decent special bulk despite being a physical attacker, copycat, and fire counter a decent amount of the types here, they simply combined nearly every strength of the Top 5 while having a decent counter to nearly all of them! His fire typing for Leafeon, his hard hitting Flareblitz and copycat for sylveon, poison and burn chances for umbreon, and just hitting jolteon really hard, all combined with his decent bulk means that out of everyone, flareon actually has the best chance to win overall! And his only real weakness/counter… is already in deadlast.

Finishing notes!

Thank you all for reading! Sorry if this isn’t of the highest quality but this was one of my first blogs so I'm honestly really happy with how it turned out (despite how long it took to make this). I just want to thank ApexAethon, Beeg, Derpy/Tanner, and Koko for their (at least their attempts) help! Of course i should note that any eeveelution here could win under the right circumstances, we just tried to figure out the most likely circumstances and who could take advantage of them or thrive otherwise. Other than that i hope y'all have a good day/night!
